How LoonPad works.

The full mechanics of launching, fees, buybacks and distributions. Every number on this page is read from the live configuration, so it always matches what the system does.

01

Overview

LoonPad is a launchpad for coins on Robinhood Chain where every coin rewards the holders of every other. Each coin's trading fees buy that coin back, and the bought tokens are sent to everyone holding any LoonPad coin.

Holders do nothing: there is no staking and no claiming. Tokens arrive in your wallet automatically. Each new launch adds another stream of buybacks, so the more coins launch, the more every holder receives.

02

Launching a coin

You launch from the launch page by filling in a name, ticker, image and description, picking a creator tax, and approving two transactions in your wallet. The coin is created on Pons, Robinhood Chain's launchpad, with a supply of 1 billion paired with ETH. It trades on a bonding curve until 4.2 ETH is in, then Pons moves it into a Uniswap v4 pool whose liquidity is locked for good: nobody, including LoonPad, can pull it.

  • Two approvals. First 0.001 ETH to the coin's own fee wallet, which pays the gas for claiming its fees. Then the Pons launch itself, with Pons' launch fee.
  • Optional first buy. It rides in the same transaction as the launch, so nobody can buy before you.
  • Creator tax, 0 to 10%. Charged on every trade on top of Pons' 1% fee. It is paid to the coin's fee wallet, not to you, and funds the coin's drops.
  • Its own fee wallet. Each coin gets a dedicated LoonPad wallet as its Pons creator fee recipient, used for no other coin. Only that wallet can change the recipient, so a launcher cannot redirect the fees.
  • Your keys stay yours. LoonPad never sees your wallet's private key; you sign in your own wallet.

03

Where trading fees go

80%

Buyback and drop

Covers the cost of sending, then buys the coin back for its holders.

20%

Protocol

Funds development and operations, sent to the protocol treasury.

The protocol share is sent the moment fees are claimed, before any other calculation, so a coin's pool is always exactly 80% of what it earned. A coin's pool only ever buys that coin: CONF's fees buy CONF, UP's fees buy UP.

Each coin's fee wallet receives its creator tax in full plus 70% of Pons' 1% trading fee (Pons keeps 30%), all in ETH, and the split above applies to that. After a coin moves to Uniswap v4, fees a trade pays in the coin itself are converted to ETH by Pons before they reach the fee wallet.

04

The distribution cycle

Each coin runs on its own clock. Its first snapshot comes at a random moment 5 to 10 minutes after launch, and each next one a random 5 to 10 minutes after the last. At each snapshot, if the coin's pot of fees is worth at least $50, these steps run straight away; if not, nothing happens and the pot carries over.

  1. 1

    Snapshot

Records every eligible wallet across all LoonPad coins at that moment. What a wallet holds then is what counts.

  2. 2

    Claim

The coin's fee wallet sweeps its fees from Pons into the Pons fee escrow and claims them as ETH.

  3. 3

    Protocol fee

Sends 20% of the claim to the protocol wallet. The rest stays in the coin's own fee wallet as its pool, so no coin's money ever shares a wallet with another coin's.

  4. 4

    Reserve

Holds back enough ETH to pay the gas for the sends: 2× the estimate, which counts the extra gas for wallets receiving the coin for the first time. Gas prices are read from the chain at run time.

  5. 5

    Buyback

The fee wallet buys the coin back with the rest of its pool. If the pool cannot cover the reserve yet, nothing is spent and it all carries into the next run.

  6. 6

    Send

The fee wallet sends the bought tokens to every eligible wallet in proportion to its holdings.

Nothing is wasted

Any reserve ETH a run does not need stays in that coin's pool and is added to its next run. Gas on Robinhood Chain is cheap, so almost the whole pool goes to buybacks.

05

Who receives

A wallet qualifies by holding at least $20 of any single LoonPad coin. A qualifying wallet receives from every coin's buybacks, not only the coins it holds.

  • No holding period. What a wallet holds at the snapshot is what counts. Each coin's snapshot comes at a random moment 5 to 10 minutes after the last, and the exact moment is never shown, so buying just before one cannot be timed.
  • Still holding at the send. Just before each batch is sent, every wallet in it is checked again. A wallet that has dropped under $20 since the snapshot gets nothing from that payout, and its share stays with the coin for its next payout. Wallets that still qualify are paid on what they held at the snapshot.
  • Averaged price. Both checks value holdings at each coin's average price over the last 10 minutes, so a single large trade cannot push a wallet over or under $20.
  • Excluded addresses. Fee wallets, the treasury, the protocol wallet, Pons' contracts, each coin's curve and Uniswap pool, and blocklisted addresses such as exchanges never count as holders.

Check any wallet on the wallet check page.

06

How shares are calculated

your tokens = tokens bought × (your qualifying holdings ÷ everyone's qualifying holdings)

Example. Your qualifying holdings are worth $100 and all eligible wallets together hold $50,000, so your share is 0.2%. When CONF buys back 1,000,000 tokens, you receive 2,000 CONF. The same happens for every other coin's buyback.

Your share depends only on the value you hold, so splitting the same amount across several wallets gains nothing.

07

Small shares

Sending a coin to a wallet that does not hold it yet costs extra gas for its first balance. When such a share is worth less than 3× that gas, it is carried over rather than sent, and added to that wallet's next share of the same coin. Nothing is lost; it is only delayed until it is worth sending.

Carried amounts appear on the wallet check page.

08

Verify it yourself

Everything LoonPad does is an ordinary Robinhood Chain transaction.

  • Every coin page lists its fee wallet, buybacks and distributions, each linked to the Robinhood Chain explorer.
  • Pons' launch factory is public: anyone can read which wallet receives each coin's fees, and see its creator tax.
  • Claims, protocol fees, buybacks and sends can all be traced from the coin's fee wallet history.

FAQ

How do I qualify?
Hold at least $20 of any single LoonPad coin when a snapshot is taken, and still hold it when the payout is sent a moment later. There is no holding period and nothing to sign up for. Each coin takes its snapshots at random moments, 5 to 10 minutes apart, and values holdings at a 10-minute average price.
Do I need to claim or stake anything?
No. If your wallet qualifies, tokens are sent to it automatically every time a coin buys back.
Why haven't I received anything yet?
Check that you hold at least $20. A coin only pays out at a snapshot when its pot of fees is worth at least $50; otherwise it carries over to its next snapshot, so payouts depend on trading volume. Very small shares to a wallet that does not hold the coin yet are carried over until they are worth the gas to send.
Do I receive coins I don't hold?
Yes, that is the point. Holding any LoonPad coin makes you eligible for the buybacks of every LoonPad coin.
Can the liquidity be pulled?
No. Every coin launches on Pons: it trades on a bonding curve, and once 4.2 ETH is in, Pons moves it into a Uniswap v4 pool whose position is locked for good. Neither the launcher nor LoonPad can remove it.
Can I sell the tokens I receive?
Yes. They are ordinary tokens in your wallet. Selling below the minimum between a snapshot and its payout forfeits that payout, and you no longer qualify at the next snapshot.
Who controls the fee wallets?
The LoonPad protocol does. Each coin has its own fee wallet. It only claims that coin's fees, sends the protocol share, and spends the rest on buying back and distributing that same coin. Every transaction can be followed on the Robinhood Chain explorer.
Does the coin creator earn anything?
No. The launcher picks the coin's creator tax, but it is paid to the coin's LoonPad fee wallet and funds the buybacks for holders. Launchers benefit as holders, like everyone else.

Risks

Read before you buy

LoonPad is experimental software. Memecoins are highly volatile and can lose all of their value. Distributions depend on trading volume and can slow or stop at any time. Smart contracts, RPC providers and third-party platforms can fail. Nothing here is financial advice or a promise of returns; only use money you can afford to lose.
